Some *Adoption blogs -- updated

Make my eye twitch

Nope, it's none of you guys. I love your blogs they are honest, real life.
I don't want to say the name of the blog, it's pretty popular, I think.
See if you recognize any of the "headlines". You maybe able to guess which one it is.
This is how I would answer some of their "issues".

"MY *ADOPTED CHILD STUMPS A CLOWN"
MY TAKE: really, the one I pushed out after 21 hrs of labor, pulled a clown's nose off and called him a geek...at the age of 4. Kids are Kids.

NEXT...
IS A "MESSED UP" *ADOPTED CHILD WORTH THE INVESTMENT?
MY TAKE: first if you're asking this question DON'T *ADOPT.
SECOND, Is a "messed up" child born of your blood, sweat & tears & weight gain, worth the investment? You do what you have to do for your children.
"*ADOPTED IS A WORD WE STOP USING AFTER COMING OUT OF THE COURT HOUSE. After that, your just my kid.

Next...My wife and I are unable to become pregnant, and now she wants to *adopt a child. Is adoption the right thing to do?
My Take: If you have to ask this, then NO, it's not for you.

Next: How do I love and accept my *adopted child?
MY Take: You are kidding, right? Because I doubt you'll ever accept the child as YOUR child & are the kind of person who would introduce the child as your *adopted son/daughter.

I've got to stop now....my eye is twitching

Holy Smokes - YES!!! I hope you don't mean my blog, of course. But seriously, there are a few I have had to stop reading becuase they are soooo out there. Like wayyyyy out there. Like all I think of is those poor kids having to pray for hours for healing when what they need (in addition to prayer) is a decent therapist who understands Trauma, and some appropriate medication...Don't get me started!!!!

Yowza. My bff adopted her foster boy, who has a lot of developmental issues, and he's a joy and blessing even amidst the challenges (which have everything to do with his birth family's lack of care) to her and her family--AND to lucky me, the surrogate aunty! What is WRONG with people??

Someone I work with was in the process of adopting 3 children from Africa. They told me that they recently had to pay more money for the adoption and that they were considering canceling. I asked them about getting attached to the idea of those children and how hard it must be to think that the adoption might not work out. Then they told me that it wasn't that they really wanted more children to raise. They had started the adoption because their church said that it was the Christian thing to do...ugghhhh
