Rainbow Brite...I remember you when

Do you remember her?
Oh, she didn't belong to me. My oldest daughter loved her, just loved her. I guess she was like Dora today. I remember searching high & low all over Jacksonville, NC for a bedspread & curtains. We had just come back from living in Japan for 3 yrs. We were unaware of this Rainbow Brite phenom. She didn't even speak English very well when we got back. But she could say enough to make you understand she had to have a "Rainbu Bite". Where does the time go?
Just like my daughter, it seems Rainbow has grown up into a beautiful young lady!
You can go to Rainbow Brite.com and meet her new friends and watch 4 new Rainbow Brite animated mini episodes.
You can join Rainbow Brite, her two loyal friends Moonglow and Tickled Pink, and their horse friends:
Starlite, Shimmer, and Sunriser on their adventures thru Rainbow Land.
While you’re there, you can download Door Signs, Wallpapers, and even the Theme Song all for FREE!

I was sent some CD's to share with you. The CD includes:
* Rainbow Brite animated short
* Games & puzzles
* Rainbow Brite Theme song
* Meet Rainbow Brite & friends & more

**Leave your mailing info in the comments & I will send you The Rainbow Brite Adventure Pack. I WILL NOT PUBLISH YOUR NAME & ADDRESS IN COMMENTS. I WILL ERASE IT**
But I will let you know when I mail you the CD.

I loved Rainbow Brite when I was a kid-My parents weren't big on the fad gifts (either due to cost or just a lack of interest in pop culture for kids). I received my only RB toy as a going away gift in Kindergarten because we were moving across town. I kept that doll until she fell apart-when I was close to being a teenager.
Thanks for sharing the link to the website-I had forgotten all about her, but now I will show my daughter and see if she is as enthralled as I was.

This isn't about Rainbow Brite at all. I'm new to posting comments and haven't even read many blogs. I was looking for a place on your blog to pose a simple question to you in private but couldn't find one. I saw your valentine you submitted to the Heart to Heart and I'm wondering if you would tell me where you purchased the fabric that the base heart is made from...the white one with what looks like cupcakes on it. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Janice

Janice,
I loved the fabric too.
It is a "Alexander Henry collection" fabric. I got this in a specialty quilt shop. But any high end fabric store will carry his fabrics.

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now. Keep it up!
And according to this article, I totally agree with your opinion, but only this time! :)
