Stack & Whack

I've been working on this quilt for what seems like forever.
I've never done this kind of quilt before and it turned out soooo nice.
It's called Stack and whack, using the wildest patterned material possible and when "pinned & cut" correctly will give you dozens of kaleidoscope images.
After each block was completed I was sure it was my favorite, until the next one was done.

I have a Stack and Whack pattern book - but have not been brave enough to attempt it. Your quilt is just beautiful! You really picked a good base fabric that gave a variety of blocks. Quilting is so relaxing.

What a beautiful quilt! I have only made one quilt in my life. I used to go over to my grandma's house every week and she would show me how to quilt. We made a Log Cabin style quilt. It was really pretty but she died before we were able to get started with the actual quilting part of it. We had the top all finished so for Christmas one year my mom took the top and bottom to a lady who quilted and my mom had her finish the quilt for me for a Christmas present. It was very emotional for me and an absolutely perfect gift! Anyway, talking about quilts brings that memory up and I just had to share it.
